Born in Mexico City, 1981, Alejandro Mejía is an artist who dialogs between sculpture, installation, drawing and photography. In its themes it works with aspects of symbols, physics, geometry, biology and technology to conceive pieces that question the perception of space and image-time.
He graduated in Fine Arts from the National School of Painting, Sculptureand Engraving "La Esmeralda". Alejandro Mejía has participated in manyexhibitions inside and outside Mexico, among which stand out AMERIQUE, UNEVISION CONTEMPORAINE in the gallery André Derain (Orleans, France, 2008); LA CHINCHE at the El Eco Experimental Museum (Mexico City, 2015); MAP OF THE NEW ART / MEXICO: THE FUTURE IS UNWRITTEN at the FondazioneGiorgio Cini (Venice, Italy, 2015); SALÓN ACME NO. 4 (Mexico City, 2016).
